CompTIA Aplus (A+) certification validates the latest skills needed by today’s computer support professionals.
It is an international, vendor-neutral certification recognized by major hardware and software vendors, distributors
and resellers. The CompTIA Aplus (A+) Certification confirms a technician's ability to perform tasks such as installation, configuration,
diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking. The CompTIA Aplus (A+) exams also cover domains such as security, safety
and environmental issues and communication and professionalism.
In order to achieve the CompTIA Aplus (A+) certification, you must pass two exams; one core CompTIA Aplus (A+) exam and one elective CompTIA Aplus (A+) exam.
CompTIA Aplus (A+) Certification Core Exam
CompTIA Aplus (A+) Certification: Essentials Exam 220-601:
CompTIA Aplus (A+) Essentials validates knowledge of basic computer hardware and operating systems, covering skills such as
installation, building, upgrading, repairing, configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing, diagnosing and preventive
maintenance, with additional elements of security and soft skills. The CompTIA Aplus (A+) Certification Essentials Exam validates the basic skills
needed by any entry-level service technician regardless of job environment.

CompTIA Aplus (A+) Elective Exams (one required)
CompTIA Aplus (A+) Certification: IT Technician Exam 220-602:
The CompTIA Aplus (A+) 220-602 exam is targeted for individuals who work or intend to work in a mobile or corporate technical
environment with a high level of face-to-face client interaction. Examples job roles include: Enterprise Technician,
IT Administrator, Field Service Technician and PC Technician. Ideally, the CompTIA Aplus (A+) 220-602 candidate has already passed
the CompTIA A plus Essentials examination. Candidates who pass both CompTIA Aplus (A+) Essentials and the exam 220-602 will obtain the CompTIA
Aplus (A+) certification with the IT Technician designation.
CompTIA Aplus (A+) Certification: Remote Support Technician Exam 220-603:
The CompTIA Aplus (A+) 220-603 examination is targeted for individuals who work or intend to work in a remote-based work
environment where client interaction, client training, operating system and connectivity issues are emphasized.
Example job roles include: Remote Support Technician, Help Desk Technician and Call Center Technician. Ideally, the
CompTIA Aplus (A+) 220-603 candidate has already passed the CompTIA Aplus (A+) Essentials examination. Candidates who pass both
CompTIA A plus Essentials and the 220-603 exams will obtain the CompTIA Aplus (A+) certification with the Remote Support Technician designation.
CompTIA Aplus (A+) Certification: Depot Technician Exam 220-604:
The CompTIA Aplus (A+) exam 220-604 is targeted for individuals who work or intend to work in settings with where
hardware related activities are emphasized. Example job roles include: Depot Technician and Bench technician. Ideally,
the CompTIA A plus 220-604 candidate has already passed the CompTIA Aplus (A+) Essentials examination. Candidates who pass both
CompTIA A plus Essentials and the 220-604 exams will be CompTIA Aplus (A+) certified with the Depot Technician designation.
